Jordan R. Short
Jordan is a native Eastern Kentuckian and believes his upbringing there has shown him the value of work ethic and honesty. He specializes in holistic financial planning where all aspects of a client’s financial situation are considered to produce positive outcomes on a case-by-case basis. He concentrates on investment portfolio allocation, insurance planning, and business/succession planning.
As an independent financial advisor, Jordan enjoys getting to know his clients and helping them enjoy their retirement by providing them peace of mind when it comes to the management of their money. He believes that by creating a comprehensive financial plan today you, as his client, will ultimately be able to develop and preserve generational wealth.
Jordan is a graduate of Centre College in Danville, Kentucky where he earned his Bachelor of Science degree in Economics and Finance. While at Centre, Jordan enjoyed success in the classroom and on the baseball field, becoming a four-year letter winner on the diamond.
During his time in college, he already had his mind set on a career in the financial services industry, having worked as an intern here at IFP and completed the Series 65 exam. He’s also licenced to sell life and health insurance in Kentucky.
In his spare time, Jordan enjoys reading history, listening to Jocko Podcast, adventuring in the great outdoors and watching his beloved University of Kentucky Wildcats. He attends Southland Christian Church in Lexington, where he also volunteers as a youth group leader.
When he's not doing any of the above, he can be found spending time with his wife, Sydney, family, and friends.
