David brings a collaborative approach to financial planning. He believes in creating strategies that are not merely plans, but shared journeys toward achieving your financial goals.
David grew up in Fleming-Neon, where his family instilled in him the values of hard work and determination-- principles that would later form the foundation of his educational and career success.
He earned his Bachelor’s degree in Business Administration with majors in both Accounting and Management from the University of Pikeville, graduating with honors in just three and a half years.
Post-graduation, David continued to hone his expertise through advanced studies at The American College and the Institute of Business & Finance. He holds several prestigious credentials, including Certified Financial Planner™ (CFP®), Chartered Financial Consultant® (ChFC®), Certified Fund Specialist® (CFS®), and Retirement Income Certified Professional® (RICP®). He also earned a Master of Science in Financial Services (MSFS).
Always seeking growth, David has furthered his development through coaching programs with prominent leaders including Tony Robbins, Earl Kemper, and Jack Canfield.
Outside of work, David is a devoted family man who enjoys reading, golfing, traveling, and outdoor motor sports. His achievements have been recognized with honors such as the "Rising Young Alumni Award" from UPike and the "Kentucky Colonel", the highest civilian award in the state of Kentucky. In the fall of 2025, David was inducted into the Coleman College of Business Hall of Fame at Upike.
David and his wife Tonya cherish their time on their family farm in Lexington, Kentucky, with their daughters, Reece, 17, and Reagan, 13, as well as their two Cavalier King Charles Spaniels, Ireland and Katie.
